Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early morning pickup from Kampala or Entebbe at 8:00 AM. Journey through Uganda's beautiful countryside, passing through traditional villages and terraced hills. Stop for lunch in Mbarara and continue to Bwindi. This UNESCO World Heritage Site protects over half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Arrive at your forest lodge in the evening for briefing and rest before tomorrow's gorilla encounter.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
The day begins with mountain gorilla trekking after briefing at park headquarters. Trek through the dense impenetrable forest to find one of the habituated gorilla families. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants. After the trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, known as the "Switzerland of Africa" for its stunning scenery. This bilharzia-free lake is perfect for relaxation and swimming.

Day 3: Lake Bunyonyi to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Enjoy a relaxing morning at Lake Bunyonyi with optional activities like canoeing, bird watching, or visiting local communities. After breakfast, journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector, famous for tree-climbing lions. Game drive through Ishasha looking for these unique lions lounging in fig trees. Arrive at your lodge for lunch and evening relaxation.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth Game Drives & Kazinga Channel
Early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park's northern sector. Search for elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, and various antelope species. Return for breakfast and relaxation. Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel connecting Lakes Edward and George. This 40km channel hosts one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa, plus crocodiles, elephants, and over 600 bird species.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park for final wildlife viewing. After breakfast, transfer to Kibale National Park, home to the highest density of primates in Africa. The journey takes you through crater lakes region and traditional villages. Arrive at your lodge near Kibale Forest for lunch and afternoon relaxation. Optional evening nature walk around the lodge to spot nocturnal primates.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk
Early morning chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. After briefing, trek through the forest to find habituated chimpanzee communities. Spend an hour observing these intelligent primates as they feed, play, and socialize. Return for lunch at the lodge. Afternoon visit to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided swamp walk. This community-run project protects diverse bird species, primates, and butterflies while supporting local livelihoods.

Day 7: Kibale to Murchison Falls National Park
Long but scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest protected area. The 7-8 hour journey passes through Fort Portal, traditional villages, and changing landscapes. Arrive at Murchison Falls and immediately visit the dramatic falls where the mighty Nile River crashes through a 7-meter gorge creating spectacular views and thunderous roars. Check into your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 8: Murchison Falls Game Drives & Nile Boat Safari
Early morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile searching for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and various antelope species. Return for late breakfast and relaxation. Afternoon boat safari upstream to the base of Murchison Falls. The 3-hour cruise offers excellent wildlife viewing including hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife. The boat stops just meters from the powerful falls for incredible photo opportunities.

Day 9: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Return to Kampala
After breakfast, visit the top of Murchison Falls for final photos. Depart for Kampala with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Uganda's only place to see rhinos. After briefing, trek on foot to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Continue to Kampala with lunch en route, arriving by evening. Transfer to your hotel or Entebbe Airport for onward travel. End of an incredible Uganda adventure.
